Training & International Courses
The Centre for Physical Activity and Health has been involved in contributing to and leading the Physical Activity and Public Health Training Courses for over a decade. Initially these were participating in and leading courses within Australia, or participating in the CDC and University of South Carolina Physical Activity and Public Health Training Courses in the United States.
One of the roles in CPAH is building capacity in research and evaluation, particularly in the Asia Pacific region, and this has lead to the development of an Asia Pacific Physical Activity Network.
The development of training courses is an important part of building capacity for implementing the WHO global strategy on diet and physical activity, and towards that end, further training in this area is warranted.
