Consultancy
NSW CPAH offers limited consultancy time for strategy development and applied research and evaluation. As a small centre this support may take different forms and will be targeted to make best use of NSW CPAH expertise and resources. Areas of support may include assistance with selecting appropriate measures and study designs, refinement of interventions in light of current theory and evidence, and data analyses. A principle that guides our consultancy services is to seek to build capacity in our partners for the advancement of physical activity promotion and research in NSW.
Because of the existing work commitments of the Centre, preference will be given to projects which have the potential to make a significant contribution to the evidence base for physical activity promotion. The centre is unable to undertake basic literature searching or to provide access to materials that can be readily obtained in the public domain.
How do I make a consultancy request?
Please have a look at the research and publications sections of the CPAH website, these sections provide valuable physical activity information. If there is an area of your work not covered on the website that would benefit from NSW CPAH’s input, a request for consultancy may be made.
Requests should be made by emailing or telephoning NSW CPAH. Requests are reviewed on a weekly basis and are considered in the context of NSW CPAH’s areas of expertise and available resources. The NSW Department of Health is included in the review process as appropriate.
The consultancy request process will take approximately 10 working days.
